Factory Mechanical Pump 24V?

Has anyone heard of a mechanical pumped 24v, not a conversion but stock?

The reason why I ask this, is that a buddy called me today said he had found one for sale if I wanted it. Its was out of some kind of equipment that had caught fire so they are selling the motor. They want 500 bones for the COMPLETE motor. :shake:

Would this be worth it?
Is there such a thing as a factory Mechanical 24V?

I have seen pictures of 24V and mechanical VE (rotor) fuel pump.

They are for agriculture use.
 
I talked to the guy today and it is out of a Timberjack Skidder , but the price must of been confused by somebody. $1500 instead of $500

Still worth it?
 
does it have the mechanical p7100 pump or the mechanical rotary pump? how many hours does the engine have on it? and if it caught on fire did any connections on the engine get melted or burnt off?
 
I haven't seen it I was just told about it. They said nothing was burnt on the motor but you can't always go off someones word though.
 
If the motor was not burnt it would be a great choice for a swap into something, you could turn it up a bit but the rotary pumps are not HP monsters.
