Went to the Diesel Thunder race in Gulfport, MS this Saturday and signed up for the 11.90 index. The truck is a 2003 F250 regular cab short bed 4x4 on 37's (with a spare 37 
), ED S472 and Warren 285/150 hybrids. The Truck Source Diesel crew had just wrapped up a 4R100 swap in my truck and brought it back down with them. First pass of the day I managed an 11.68 @ 117.65 with just a 10-12psi launch and a slight charger snuff at the 1-2 shift. The ET was right about what I expected although the trap is off about 3-4mph. I'm guessing the difference in the calculator is the rotating weight of the 37" M16 Super Swampers.
On my second pass we moved the 1-2 shift up a little and I tried to launch it between 15-20psi which is really where it needs to be, but it hopped bad and busted the front driveshaft joint at the transfer case. I'm guessing with a launch in that area it would be in the 11.4-11.5 range which is what I wanted.
Very happy with it though. That 4R works great; love the way it shifts.
Huge thanks to the Truck Source Diesel crew for getting the truck right. Gonna put another front driveshaft in it today and see about getting rid of the front wheel hop.
