new lifters with old cam?

I bought a new set of lifters for my rebuild, is it ok to run them with a used cam? Also when I put them in do I need to just use assembly lube on them? what about zinc oil additives or is that just for new came?

Why not use the originals? But yes assembly lube and put the zinc in the oil doesn't hurt!
Should wait and buy a cam!

The original lifters had a few spots I was unsure about so I just went on and bought the new upgraded ones... Machine shop said the cam looked fine, I may still get one but I'm just going to use the truck to work out of so I didn't really see the point, the most it will probably ever see is a programmer, s300 and 150hp set of injectors.

With 150's I'd look into upgrading the cp3 or at least modifying.
