New Truck Questions

[6.5LTD]

I recently bought a 97 Chev 6.5L Dually. I am wondering what transmission do I have and can I install a torque converter lock-up switch on this truck? Any input is welcome as I am not very familiar with these 6.5s. Will post pics when soon. Thanks alot

It's a 4L80E. I'm not sure on the switch.

bd makes a kit that controls lockup. i think its called a torque loc !

JD is right it should be a 4L80E and there are a few companies that make chips and kits for better tranny performance.
