Upgraded my 60mm 6 blade to a 62mm 7 blade 86mm exducer (after the catastrophic BHAF fail), and replaced the blown CAC with a 400PSI coreand new 6 layer boots.

I thought I would have lower EGT's, faster spool, and more mid to top RPM power.
What I got was more lag, higher EGT's and freakish high RPM charge.

So now I am looking for a 14CM exhaust housing to tighten up the mid range again, the 16 is just too big now. Who knew.

Stock hx35 turbine? If so I grab an easy to find 12cm. Some are putting 9cm housings on hx35's, seems crazy to me.

My neighbor has a 1st gen he plays around with.
He put a hy35 on it with the 9cm housing. That little truck would rip.

There you go again..Damn Jason we really think alike. I might just give you my log in info and save me time and energy. lol

Those 9mm housings are great for the 1st gens. They do leave a little to be desired up top though, but first gens don't really have an up top.

I've been happy with the 9cm housing on the HE351CW on my VP44 truck. These rotary pumps don't have a whole lot of rpm capability, so we need to get on top of the turbo quick.

That is too expensive to share lol, but I'd gladly look up anything you'd like anytime whether I'm selling it or you just need information.

My truck is ripping at high rpm, shifting out of 4th at 90 MPH. No way I would want to lose all my top end.

The issue is upgrading to a more aggressive and larger wheel now requires more drive pressure than the 16CM can provide in the mid range. I don't care about the bottom end, these have plenty of torque to get out of the hole. I think a 14CM would be ideal, but they want your first born for them!

The 9cm housing I was referring to is internally gated.
Won't loose much top end at all.

What is the peak boost you see now out of your current charger?

Down to 30psi. Was 40 with the old impeller. Kicks like a mule though, but way too high.

That boost seems pretty low to me....68mm turbine and not enough injector to drive it?
