nv4500 help

My 5th gear nut came off. I pulled the adapter housing and found a broken washer in it. The nut had 2 washers between it and the gear. local shop says only 1 washer between nut and gear. also said the gear goes up against the bearing in front

any help or highly detailed parts blow ups?

thee one I found on the internet are not detailed enough

Are you sure its not a 2 piece split washer?

U can get an upgraded nut from ur local dodge dealer for around 25 bucks or just use urs with one washer, what mine has and put a couple small tach welds on the shaft and nut so it don't back off. I borrowed the tools from my friendly dodge dealer and tightened it back up good and snug then a lil brake cleaner to clean oil residue off and 2 small tach welds opposite each other. Hasn't backt off for the last 2 years now...
