I know on gas engines a 10 degree drop in intake air temps is worth about 1% hp. So on a 500 hp engine with 200 intake air temps, a 50 degree drop would get you 5% more power or 25 hp in this case. Anyone have any numbers or opinions on how this translates to diesel engines in particular? I would think it would be very much the same.
