Over 100,000 2007 to 2008 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Pickup Trucks Recalled

Chrysler have issued a new recall this morning, this time affecting their 2007 to 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks equipped with the 6.7 liter diesel motor. The part effected is a silencer pad that can sag and contact the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (EGR). This contact can result in an engine compartment fire and is highly serious. Owners are urged to contact dealers as soon as possible for a support bracket to be installed. Owners can contact Chrysler directly at 1-800-853-1403 or their local dealer.

I just checked my 08. Doen't fall into the recall. No putting the DPF and cat back on at this point. :woohoo:

Click on "For owner" ===> "Contact Us and there is a drop down menu for Recalls and Customer Notifications.

Enter the last 8 of your VIN and they tell you if you're vehicle is effected by any recalls or other notifications.
