I pulled my pump from my engine without locking the timing, thinking I was going to send it back for being pinned wrong, I called and the pump builder assured me that, that was not the case. So now I rotated the pump until the pin appeared and locked it, is it in time now? If not is it possible to set it without being a p7100 master? I appreciate the help if anyone can offer it.

the pin timing will set the pump back to the stock timing setting as indicated by your engine's CPL tag.

set the engine at TDC and bolt the pump on, that will return it to stock from.

Yes I understand that, but can it be 180 out or is a locked pump, locked at what the timing is pinned at?

Crank turns twice for every one revolution of the pump. So set the engine to tdc with both valves closed and the pump pinned and it will be in time

the pump cannot be 180* out if you pin it, and install it at TDC

pin the pump, then pin the cam gear with the timing pin, cant go wrong that way.
