I am throwing a P0236 code, which I know is map sensor voltage too high too long. Since it will trip the code without the truck seeing any boost, under just normal driving, that leads me to believe that it is likely a bad map sensor, and not the boost fooler function in my comp box being bad. So I think a new map sensor is in my near future.
What I am curious to know is. Would this cause my truck to defuel? I can see approx. 36lbs of boost with the box turned off, and I never turn my box on on the street so I don't have a great idea of what kind of boost I should be seeing with it set on kill. The other day when I was messing around on the dyno though, with the box on kill I was seeing up nearly 50psi boost, then it would drop drastically down to about 36 again. Just wondering if these may be connected.
