P0524 Oil Pressure Too Low

What can cause this code? I know that the oil pressure runs a little low at idle but is fine while driving. Oil is at proper fluid level.

Other than the code, how do you know the PSI is low??? Does your gauge read low??? If it does and your engine still sounds good, might be the sending unit going south...might grab a mechanical gauge and hook it up and see what actual PSI you are making.

Just change the sending unit, they go bad every now and then and throw that code.

What's normal ?
Mine on a mechanical gauge is about 25 at idle when hot and just a hair under 40 when driving.
Cold idle is close to 40 and cold driving is over 50.
