Paint in West Texas?

I have a red eclb 12v and the paint is not so good. It's pealing and faded in many places. Is there anyway I could get it painted black for under 800 and have it look decent?

if you do the sanding and prepwork yourself mabey... maco.... if not then no way. i did my old 97. sanded it down to bare metel on most of the truck. took way to much work to do. next time i will be paying somone to do it for me. it will be worth the 2or 3 thousand it will cost.

okay, i think that ill try that so what grit of paper should i use? i have 600 but is that going to workout well?

man im going to be honest with you.. if you have never had any experience or know how at all on body work especially for a black paint job I would leave it until you can afford to have it done... im doing my body work now an i took classes on it in high school an some at a tech school an its still driving me insane... just my 2 cents
