What causes possible issues with track surfaces at diesel events

The whole purpose of this thread was because people were upset at some of the proposals that were proffered to NHRA, to gain the new rules we desperately needed.
These proposals answered the objections to the questions that NHRA, and some NHRA Pro had lodged at myself and Dustin Bentzs after our exhibition runs at NHRA National Events on Sunday during prime time TV .

These letters from a few large diesel vendors, NX and OEM manufactures, sought to calm and overcome the prime objections to diesels running in the NHRA arena. The truth was not as important, as the objections that NHRA was hearing and listening to. The proposed fix was to allow Diesels to run Nitrous in the Super categories and in Top Sportsman Top Dragster and Top Comp. The answers to NHRA’s primary objections were to reduce Smoke, the possibilities of Soot on the track, and inability to Spool on a .400 tree. We received the first half of the necessary rules, and we will be under observation for this next year , if Diesel show good track manors ,and fit in , then the rest of the category’s are forth coming , including a possible competition Eliminator, and Super Stock Classes .

If you don’t think that the Top Oil Down dragsters and cousin FC don’t get what they want, you have only to look at NHRA nation event track prep now compared to a few years ago. The current track prep sucks because the fuel cars don’t want glue on the track after the 330 this is primary because it tore up the tires on the 330 mph passes , a fuel car can make their own track with the wings. This reduction in glue on the big end of the track has made it almost impossible to get down the track in a Comp car or Pro Stock car. At the end of 2005 WJ said when this went in to effect towards the end of the season, “the safety safari will have to put roll off boxes at the end of the track to put the crashed comp, and Pro Stock cars in” that night Bruce Allen , one of the most cautious drivers in the pro Stock ranks lost it on the big end.

We as diesels pro will be looking to fit in and be accepted, a few words from “PRO” and we will lose what we have gained. The saying “a rising tide floats all boats "is something we should all think about, The inclusion in to NHRA National event competition on a even , or almost even standing is going to allow for mainstream Dollars to find their way in to the top diesel racers programs and allow them to build cutting edge machines , that will like my self appear at diesel specific events to stay with the roots of diesel racing
