As the title says, those of you who are running S400 w race cover as singles, what's your filter setup look like?

I'm currently bottlenecked down to a 4in filter... Wanting to see others setups before changing mine. :thankyou2:

I know it's on a 3rd gen but get a 5.5 reducer from intake hoses.com, then a 5" exhaust 45 cut down a little then a 6"x5" reducing insert sleeve from the same place. Then a large 6" filter from AFE

Bringing this old post back up as I am just now getting around to redoing my intake setup.

I really like this setup and the pricing from intake hoses seems reasonable. I'm sure I could source the exhaust pipe locally.

The problem I'm having is locating weld on bungs for IAT and MAF sensors... (6.7 Must have)

Below are a few links I looked at from vendors but the prices..... :what:

Any info or suggestions is appreciated

Why dont you just make them. They are very easy to make. I would say that is a worst case scenario, you could make them with just a dremel and a hand drill.

I made my own mount for my sensor, don't really remember the size of steel I used but just measure the bolt spread and the diameter of the sensor. Drill the plate and tap for the bolts, then drill the intake and plate for the sensor. Then weld.

Mines also a 3rd gen but I used a 5.5"x6" 45* boot reducer from source automotive, a 6" 90* exhaust elbow and a AFE pro dry filter.

For the IAT sensor, I drilled a 1/2" hole in the pipe, used silicone around the hole and then used self tappers to secure it.

10-4, I just didn't want to persuade it to much and screw it up. I'll put a little more pressure on her next time.

What about the compressor discharge? Are most people welding the v-band on? Mines a 2nd gen and I'm not sure if I should get the v-band welded on and hx40 machining on exh housing, or try to save money and go a different route.

its a little hard to see but i used/using an aluminum elbow off of ebay on the discharge. its holding so far but i would like to get it v-banded. i machined the exhaust housing flange myself to the he351cw flange to match my down pipe.
