rattling sound from front of engine

i just built this engine it has less than 10 miles on it machine shop put the rotating assembly in it i did everything else now there is a rattling noise coming from the front of the engine if you idle it at about 2000 or if you rev it up it will rattle then it is coming back down to idle i re checked the torque on everything the machine shop did its all the same pistons and everything just a ring and bearing job while i had it out from the kdp getting me any ideas and gears or anything in the front that would make that kind of noise? thanks dj

What's the lash on the valves?

I had a horrible rattle too outa no where, thought something went real wrong was the damn water pump, took the belt off and started grabin pulleys and the wp moved up and down about a quarter inch.
Just something to check

Mine was the cam gear walking off and hitting the cover..Drove it for another 2500 miles on the hiway until I had the new motor was ready to go in.
