first question...the rearend under my pickup is out of a 99 to 2002 dodge, im not really sure what it is. i just know its out of a 3/4 ton, with 3.54 gears, would you guys know what kind of a rear end it is

next, im goin to pull this year hopefully, and i was thinking i wouldnt worry about a locker this year, because its my first time and i would just like to get some experience before i put another $500 into it...it has posi

what do you guys think

If it has a posi, then save the money on a rear locker for now and use it for a locker for the front. Dana 70 or 80 in the rear? 70's tend to snap pinion shafts sled pulling.

im sorry....i meant limited slip, not posi. I think the pickup the rearend came out of was a stick, and 4wd, now i have auto 2wd...what would i look for on rearend for tell tale signs of what kind it is

Posi and limited slip are the same thing.... Posi-Traction was just GM's brand name for limited slip for years so it is used interchangably....

There should be a tag on the rear end that'll indicate D70 or D80....
