It doesn’t work and I rarely need it in AK. Is there more to it than pulling the compressor off and running a non AC belt ?

It may not be a problem, but I believe the non-A/C tensioner pulley is grooved.

I’ve had it parked for 2 years and it leaked a little into the cab. I also picked up some recaro seats and a floor shifter . Trying to get the truck a little lighter so the interior besides the dash is coming out , rear bumper, class v hitch, one battery , tailgate, spare tire, AC, spare tire bracket any other things that are easy to remove to drop weight ?

I'll be damned. I ran mine without the grooved tensioner for many mile.

Never had a problem with tensioner after AC delete. 500,000 on 3 different trucks.

Like I said, may not be a problem. Obviously not for you fellows.

I bought an engine from a non-AC truck one time. The tensioner has a different pulley wheel and I carry it as a spare, along with a non-AC belt. I've tried to find a part number for it but have not had any luck.

Yeah, I looked on RockAuto and our local OE supplier and there’s no mention of a non-A/C tensioner. I don’t have an ESN from a non-A/C truck to look on QuickServe.
