This is just me personally, but I find the cruze more appealing to the eyes lol. But not just that, at 6'2" I feel like the cruze has more legroom and the seats fit me better, the interior comfort for ME is better than anything VW has to offer.
this didn't matter so much to me, but the warranty is far better, 5 years/100,000 miles vs 3 years/36,000 miles, and GM dealers are more accessible to me than VW dealers, there's a lot more little things that I can't think of off the top of my head.
Actually......the Cruze's engine is German built. Lol
I was excited when they came out but not being able to get a manual trans is a bummer. Seeing the fuel economy numbers people are getting seem to be quite a bit lower then my VW. With any luck maybe Ford will have a TDI soon or Chevy will put a manual in.
My problem with the auto is that I don't know how it will like extra power, and I don't know of anyone that deals with them. My TDI seems to get better fuel economy then any of the Cruze's that I've heard about.
I think you mean "hasn't" hahaI'm not positive, but I don't think Fleece has had trans problems with their Cruze or the ones they have tuned and they are making a lot more power and torque than stock!!! They also tune out the hesitation off idle too! I think there are some others starting to play with the Cruze too, but the crew at Fleece is the most experienced with them...
