For those of you running a 315/75/16 tire, how well do they fit on a stock 16" dually rim? I see most tire places want you to run them on a 8-10" wheel. Isn't a stock dual rim 6"?

They will work but i think a wider wheel would help them get better traction. Thats what i have and it seems that only the center section really hits the ground good im going to be changing mine this winter.

What are you changing to? Your truck looks familure, where do you pull? I hear real wheels are good but costly.

I run ten inch wide. I've seen 12 inch wide before believe it or not lol. There freakin huge!

Probably going to change to real wheels. I live in columbus ohio and pull with cotpc.
but have pulled other areas as well been pulling for many years with this truck.

I seen your truck at WCH a couple Friday's ago. Sharp looking truck. I know PT sells the real wheels but is there a website? I googled it and did not see anything on there site for a 16" wheel.

food for thought.. wider wheels float also... im not sure its the answer...

I run 10.75. Just cut you wheels and have a metal shop roll ya some 4x3/16 band into a loop and weld it in. Then send me the money you saved

I was just gonna ask if anyone had done this^:thankyou2:

My truck would hook good with the factory duals. I went to the real wheels for the weight, around 100lbs, but I haven't felt a lot of difference in how the acts with the wider wheel when comparing it to the factory.

anyone cut aluminum wheels in the middle and have pieces of material welded in to make them wider?

My wheels are 04 Chevy 10.5 in they weight 43 lbs. I don't know that I would drive on them but they are going on my 3.0. Wheels $100 all 4 on craigslist loops $85 from steel place, welding $lunch welder works cheap. What do a set of reals cost?

Danny or Josh, what do you mean by "float" Never thought about taking a stock rim and making it a 8" instead of 6" something to consider.

What is your width tire to tire? We have a 102in limit. Are you running spacers?

I dont have the tires yet so i dont know. Width in my case isant an issue as the axel will be narrowed
