Schied front cover thickness??

I have searched and i didnt find anything, im sure someone has ran into this. What options do I have?? I am running a p pumped 24 valve. With the thickness of the schied cover, my balancer and fan hub wont fit i spaced out the fan hub 3/8 and still it isnt enough. I hate to do somethin the hard way if there is an easier way.. What have you guys done to run the front pulleys/belt??

I machined 2 grooves off the balancer and spaced the fan hub out, i believe 5/16 . i also run a belt 2 grooves less.

Ok thanks, thats what road I was goin down.. I was hoping that there was another easier way. Im worried about getting a little off and throwing belts all the time.

Any other idea's? I just ran across this. Can you just cut off 2 grooves in the crankshaft pulley and run a belt from the crank to the alt using 2 less groove belt and stock tensioner?
