schied large intermediate cam

Well when i get my truck back from getting a new tranny im putting in a schied large intermediate cam that's 234/254.

I've got a set of pistons im gonna take to the machine shop on Thursday for them to knock. 200 off since schied calls for. 175 on a 12valve

I've never installed a cam that required cut pistons before lol. Any thing else I should while doing it?

Any one running this cam? I was gonna go smaller but decided I'd go big the first time so i don't have to go back in later
 
When you say knocking 200 off. I hope you mean flycutting 200 deep......
 
I wondered the same thing. I hope he was not cutting .200 of the top.
 
Lol if i took .200 off the top as a whole i would be going down to the bottom lip lol.......



Im sorry I will be more exact with my wording. Im going to have .200 reliefs cut
 
i have the same cam in my 12v and one thing about the install. you will have to jump the cam gear one tooth to get it to degree in and even then you will probably have to use an offset key
 
If you install it dot to dot you will be around 87* so you want to advance it one tooth then degree and see where your at.
