2.6 DIESELS GET DOUBLE HOOK ON SEPTEMBER 5TH

A unique twist in scheduling will afford the USA-EAST 2.6 Diesel 4x4 Trucks a chance to participate in two point pulls on the same day!! Both of the pulls will take place on Sunday, September 5, 2010. And both pulls are ‘open to the world’ with no memberships required in order to enter and participate at these pulls

“Because the two pulls are only 32 miles and less than one hour drive apart we are confident that the owners will be able to have their trucks at both pulls on Sunday evening”, said Rick Feicht, promoter of the two events.

The 2.6 Diesel Trucks will be the first class on the program at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds near Cortland, Ohio at 6:30pm. After that the 2.6 Diesels will be scheduled near the end of the program at the Great Geauga County Fairgrounds in Burton, Ohio on the same evening.

“The Geauga County pull will feature six pulling classes during their annual Five Hours of Smoke and Thunder event on Sunday”, said Feicht. “And that pull usually goes on until at least midnight due to the number of entrants.”

Sunday’s truck pulling event at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds is the culmination of a week-end long series events brought to the area by the Glenn Christian Fellowship. The week-end will be the scene of the annual Glenn Christian Church Ox Roast & Car Show. The car show and Ox Roast is free to the public, while there will be a grandstand charge in order to view the USA-EAST truck pulls.

USA-EAST points for the 2.6 Diesel 4x4 Truck division will be awarded at BOTH Trumbull County and at Geauga County on September 5th. A ‘floating finish line’ will be utilized at both of these pulls in order to save the point runners from having to make additional hooks. Vaughn Bauer’s “Iron Man” weight sleds will be used at both of these hooks. These are the sleds that were recently used at the NTPA National Championships at Bowling Green, Ohio.
