Ya this past fall at the hastings snow show. D&D had their turbo charges 2 stroke F1000 at the grass drags. They said it had dynoes at just under 450HP the week before they came. They did the 60' in .982
 
I have a question though. I've ridden some pretty quick sleds but at what point is there too much HP. I mean with the exception of grass drags, even with MEAN studs on ice you can't ever get that much HP to the ground.

Seems like you would get alot of this on grass and just blow the track away on snow/ice. Not that it wouldn't be tons of fun.:rockwoot:
 
well I only got to go once this year cuz of my car wreck. But there was guy up there with a m1000 with twin turbo he was just playin around on the flats gettin it tunned right but holy crap that thing was bad ass.

But like you said when is to much. I have never seen a hill where you needed that much power.
 
I have ran 288 ice chisels before with the drag sled but anymore that that and it would not penetrate.

yeah i've been into slednecks for a couple years now and i NEED to get some of their videos!!!! i always just downloaded them haha

LOL yeah i've only gone like 115 on a sled and that was SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!! one small bump and you're SCREWED :badidea:
 
ive had my apex up to 125 on gps and that was scarey enough not knowing the trail
 
There's some sleds out there with Nitrous. I saw a MAch Z 1000 a couple years ago with a nice blue bottle under the hood. Those Mach's are pretty quick stock. I couldn't imagine what it would do with some nitrous. They're supposed to be about 155hp outta the box.

House what motor you got in the Apex? I haven't kept up with the newest models of sleds lately.

You get too many studs and the track will swell with weight of the studs. My 800 does it. I'm thinkin of going to a 1-1/4" ripsaw next year and cut my number of studs in half! IT pushes to hard in the corners.
