i bought an 02 2500 ex cab long bed cummins with 160,000 on it for 2,500 bucks it has slight nose damage and the frame is slightly tweaked. my plan was to swap the engine into an 80's chevy. i was going to do the head p-pump it and run some twins. the only problem is i dont have the cash to do the build that way at this point i was wondering if i could just p-pump the truck and get away with running the stock turbo and head for now until i get some more funds to complete the project.

Sure, as long as you don't go crazy with mods to the pump, you will be fine.

Sure, just keep the pump stock for a while. 94-98 trucks came from the factory P-Pumped with an HX35 :poke:

When I first bought my truck it was some what stock with a p-pump and a HX-35. Bad thing was they threw Lazer cuts DV's and .120 lines on it too. As long as the pump is turned down, it will be fine, but I threw a turbo on as soon as I could!
