Soon to have a cummins

Hello all, First post

Been reading this site a bit, lots of good information.

I have a 2004 F250 with a dead 6.0l. I have a 1997 12v cummins from an FL60 and I have a 47RE and adaptor plate I hope to get that dead motor out this week end and start to put the 12v in need to swap my oil pan and pick up tube first.

Cool! Just curious... if you're using a 47re what is the adapter plate for?

I believe his 12valve is from a medium duty freightliner, so he is talking about the the adapter plate from a dodge cummins truck

Kasey200, how is that twinned 5.9 EX? bet that is one heck of a ride.

By the way anyone know of a good stand alone controller for this tranny? That ATS controller is a bit spendy. I would rather get a fully built 47rh.

Also does anyone know of a good transmission shop that could convert this re to an rh in the San Antonio/Austin area?
