sound proofing

I had a small problem with my interior while building a new motor(still waiting on the cam). The truck sat in the unheated shed for 3 months.Do to a rodent issue :soap: I had to throw out everything. I threw the rubber floor out last year because the jute was holding water from the a/c drain that was broke(now fixed).I want to put some carpet in to cover the bad herculiner job:badidea: and sound proof it some so I can hear the radio. What would be the best method to do so? I am lost so any help is appreciated

i riped all my interier out and dymamated everything but behind the dash. and take a can or to of great stuff expanding foam and do all of the crackes and holes in the sheet metal ..

rubber undercoating works i use that on the frame to rust proof also good at blocking sound
