Steering gear box

Anyone know if the steering gear box from a 97 will fit an 03? The one on my 03 broke today and i have an extra from my 97. I have not taken the one from the 03 off yet, but they look alike. Anyone know?

Direct bolt up? No. IIRC their is a thread about adapting a 3rd gen box to 2nd gens. So a 2nd to 3rd gen wouldn't work then..

remans are cheap but i heard they suck too, i was going to check out red head steering gears.

the remans do suck they only replace some of the bearings

psc is not known to be the best when it comes to pumps and boxes. Send you box to west texas offroad (home of the redneck ram) and they will fix it right up way better than a reman.
