Street toy truck. 650ish HP before NO2........02 ex cab 2wd.

Whats everyone's (especially those that have dealt with this themselves) opinion on the best suspension set-up for street/track use?

Four link?
Leafs with traction bars?
Leafs with Cal-tracs?
or?????
We have fab skills......

Obviously good shocks are needed. Thx

Really depends how much track time you will be seeing. If I were to build another truck I would go with a ladder bar setup. In these front heavy trucks you want to hit the tires hard, and that's pretty easy to do with a ladder bar setup. But in my mind, I would build a race truck that I can drive on the street. Not the other way around. I just wanna go fast though.

A low budget option that I used was a cab and chassis model 14bolt that is more narrow than the dodge Dana and uses smaller diameter brake drums. I had a set of 15" wheels with allot of backspacing made and run 16/31 mt street slicks that fit inside the wheel well. Halfton springs and caltracs it has cut 60fts in the 1.5 range often. 3.42 gears are available for this rear also.
