Tappet Gasket ASAP

I got these metal bushings with my tappet gasket from the parts store. When I pulled the tappet cover these weren't on it. Is this how these go or do I even need them?

That's right as long as you have the rubbers under them

That's how I did it, not I just have to put everything back together and save up and buy a Borgeson steering box and new power steering lines.
