Tc lockup and od keep kicking out

47rh goes to OD then lockes up but only for a few seconds then unlocks and kicks out of od. Any ideas tranny has about 8000 miles on it.

Check the trans cable at the pump for slack when you move the throttle by hand. If that is tight then it sounds like either a ground is needed for the PCM or possibly a new TPS needed.

Ok I have a new tps on the shelf I'll try that. How do I ground the pcm

take one of the screws out on the PCM and run a ground wire to the firewall from there.

did you ever find out anything about this mine is doing the same thing and was just looking around on here for some input?

it could also be a bad solonoid

wire a lock up switch if still does come out of overdrive and lock up than you have a bad solonoid

What's your fluid temperature? Mine does the same thing when the fluid temps. are below 80* F.

TPS, its common on these pigs.. you can cut it apart and clean it then glue it back together.. it usually fixes them for a while atleast.. mine has been fine since doing that 10,000k ago..
