TDI getting it down the track!

Awesome! Know the stats? I have a clutch for the wife's bug, just need some other stuff.

That is my buddy Andy's car, I posted a video of it in the import section.

It has a bunch of one off pieces, including:

-Home cast, cast iron cylinder head.
-Main girdle / oil pan support system
-Runs Cummins injectors
-An inline A pump with 10mm barrel's, and an obviously modded governor setup.
-He is always changing turbo's, but last I talked to him he had a GT40VNT I think off a Hino as a secondary and an Ebay GT45 (they are similar sized to an S468) primary, that he was just going to give a try too.
-He is also a big fuel only guy, no water or nitrous on that car.

Holy crap.... 7500rpm!?!?

On the burnout yup, only makes power to about 6200rpm, hence that is about where he is shifting. I think there is still some power to be had up high, once they move away from the stock cam.

Looked like he launched at mid-upper 7k!! Nice!!

Still impressive but holy cow if it had been done w/ 1.9ishL VW engine!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Andy at the Edmonton race a few years ago, I was absolutely amazed at this build. He had a bunch of pictures in his phone of the custom head they were building. The sheer number of hours into it is amazing, but as he put it - with the long Canadian winters what else is he gonna do?
