Thinking about buying an 04 duramax, what to look for?

Ok i found a nice 04 duramax, but have no clue what to look for, or problems that they have had, someone want to enlighten me???

He means LB7 or LLY. If it's an LB7 check the VIN to see if the injectors have been replaced under warranty or otherwise.

Check the 8th digit in the VIN; 1=LB7 and 2=LLY. LB7 number issue is injectors. Look forward to getting 70K or so out of each set. That seems to be what most of the around here get. They are warranted for 7 or 10yr/200K, IIRC. Other than the usual injector harness rubbing, tie-rod issues and likely pump rub they are not known to have a lot of problems.
