This isn't good!

Is that a Fummin's you have? Can you get the pan off (pick the motor up 3" or so)? I'd try and squeeze in a bearing roll.

Rebuilt motor in the puller like always over winter. All went well and broke in. Changed break in oil and pulled 3 runs. 1st run ended crappy with blowing fuel out of the rail. Changed rail. Second run put 60' on the pack at a brush pull. 3rd run cousin ran the truck. That didn't go so well. Left the line at 5k engine went to 5300rpm rev limiter because he was in 3rd and not 5th (6sp). It was that way for the entire run bouncing off limiter. Went through the overhead and re set the valve train. Cut oil filter open and found this. I cut the break in oil filter open and it was clean. Nothing magnetic. I'm hoping this will go another couple pulls without throwing a rod. I'll have a 2 wk break to freshen it up then. The question is would you guys chance it or have you been in the similar situation? I understand the risks just looking for others opinions.uploadfromtaptalk1433544133205.jpg

No its in an 03 CR dodge. I can get the pan off without pulling the motor but being the truck is so gutted its actually faster to just pull it. Something needs repaired anyways likely. 30 seconds at 5300rpm I think took a time on some bearings.
Your first post with the pics is gone.
Not sire what going on with the posts. I posted this one and the pic didn't work through taptalk. So I started another using the browser. One of these can get deleted whenever the mods come across it.

Did you find any larger flakes? I've seen alot worse from trucks that's still made 20 more passes before being freshened. And the bearings once removed didnt look too awful bad.

No this is as big as it gets. I'm just going to run it and monitor if the condition worsen. Nice thing is nothing is magnetic now war anything suspended in the oil. If I had to guess the extended high rpm has played a toll on wrist pin bushings.

Yeah. I'll keep an eye on its progress. Hopefully it doesn't keep producing. If so motor will come out in a couple wks during our break for new bottom end.
