Throttle pedal wont work?

Today I noticed my truck was running fairly rough, Almost like a miss at idle which seemed to go away as rpms went up. Well on my way home my throttle pedal just stopped working and check engine light came on. Threw two codes for APPS sensor (dont remember which ones exactly). One of them I believe was no response from APPS. Is my APPS bad and thats what caused it?? The truck has 321000 miles so im guessing its likely to be the problem. Also is there any way that this could be related to the rough idle/miss i noticed this morning? Seems funny how it all happened so close together?

apps or something further, mine i had to overlay a signal wire on the harness from the ecm to apps to finally get mine to go away
