Timing on a 180 pump

Have a friend with a '97 4X4 auto. I will be doing the kdp soon along with a #6 plate, gauges, exhaust, etc. While I am there, I will check the timing. Should I bump it a couple degrees? Mine is at 15.5* but is a 215 pump.

mines set at 20* right now. Its goin to make it harder to start in cold wheather. It will also increase smoke at peak torque, increase cylinder pressure(more power), and it will move ur power band up high in the rpms. There is more stuff that it does im sure somebody will chime in any min. To pick up where i left off
