Looking for a reputable machine shop that has a torque plate in se washington for a Cummins. I live in Walla Walla, haven't had any luck locally. Willing to travel within the northwest. Any suggestions.

He said machine shop, I would guess he means a plate that gets torqued to the block while boring or honing is done. I call the one that I have a torque plate.

I live in Ellensburg. If I was looking for one, I'd call Dynomite Diesel or Bill Fletcher, they probably have an idea where to find one. I think Chad Riley's shop is in Tri-Cities, they might know where one is closer to you.

I like your thinking on the cut up head, but I believe that solid steel plate would be better than the cast iron. I am no expert on metallurgical compositions though.

No doubt better, but to what extent..........
