What tells these trucks to shift and lock up?
I just installed a new tranny and had this problem with old one and with this new one.
When I am driving and hard on the throttle it will lock up but when I let off up on throttle it will unlock. I don't know if there is an adjustment or not being that the throttle is electronic.

PCM controls it, or a tune/chip. It goes off speed

You may try replacing your lock up/overdrive solenoids

Since I just put a rebuilt tranny in 3 days ago I hope they were replaced. ABS light is on, could that be from a speed sensor and be causing these shifting issues?

The exhaust back pressure sensor tube is not hooked up yet either due to it rusting and not getting another one yet, could this be part of problem ?

speed sensor on top of the pumpkin in the rear axle.
Can you scan it to check for codes?
