transmission?

I have a 01 auto and i want to install a manual does anybody know if i need to do anything to the pcm/ecu to accomplish this if so how do i go about doing this? thanks

Long story short, find a same year, same option manual truck, park them side by side. Swap wiring harness, tranny's, crossmembers, PCM, ECM. and pedals.

Done.

Don't do it, you'll lose your cup holders. I had a auto and now I have a manual. The cup holders in manuals suck.

All you really need is the tranny, pedals, driveshafts, and transfer case. The ECM and PCM should work.And also the neutral safety switch needs to be fixed up, but I may be wrong about an 01 versus a 98.5...
