Well for a long story short the turbo "popped" last night at full song right before I let the clutch out. Engine and air shut off was pulled within seconds. When I got home I removed the pipe going from turbo discharge to intercooler and had oil in it. removed the other pipe from the intercooler to the intake and clean. No oil residue etc. My question is how far to you take one apart to check for damage? Never had this happen before. Ordered new turbo last night to hope to be up and running.
Thanks,
Steve

I would flush out the cooler with degreaser to get out all the oil and aluminum shavings and call it good. If a little aluminum goes thrue the engine it will probably be ok.

Steve, flush your water to air cooler out with some cleaner and hot water. I would back flush first, then the other way.
