I have a 2012 with D&J motor, stage 3 head , 250% exergy injectors and 14mm exergy race pump .

Currently has industrial injection 66/74 and 480/96 .
Made 1025 HP and 1750 torque

Looking to hit 1300 plus and have good spool up .

Primarily street driven .

What do you suggest ?

I have s488 t6 with billet wheel for $2000 with only one pass.

Im a fan of forced inductions. I agree on the 72/87/1.0 and 88/96/1.32 setup.

Jose does crazy amount of volume and is well known on both the has and diesel world.

There's a reason the x275 changed their turbo rules, and many of those heavy hitters ran his units.

Love.my 488 ETR V2 primary from him. It's done 1500hp on setups as a single for multiple racers.

I can see the 72/88 compound benefit, I personally hated every single 72 I ever ran and avoided them.

I still like the smallish secondary for street manners.

I was always impressed by how well the GT4094 did as a secondary. Moves good air without raising the pressure too high. Common rails spool turbos better than the p-pump but the 4094/GT55 combo I had made 1200 and still daily drove and towed ok.

Should I use the SXE turbos for the 472 and 488 ?

I am not savvy with turbos obviously .

I would call Weston (Infinite Performance) and talk to him, but a well built 68/83/.91 over a well built 85/96/1.32 will support 1,300 hp and have better street manners than any 72/87 and 88/96 setup would.

Exact set I run, while not quite 1300. But I'm just an old ppump.

Just talked to Joseph at forced inductions and he said 68/83/.91 and 85/96/1.32 would be lacking in HP.

He recommended 72/87 and 88/102 .

He said 88/96 would be fine but 102 would move more air and have very little more lag.

Thoughts ?

With Chinese parts he’s probably right.

Call Weston and ask him now. :)

Chinese parts.... and how many FI turbos have you grenaded?

Lol

:redx:

You're clearly talking about a different builders parts.

The 85mm primary is at its upper limits at 1300hp.

I haven’t grenaded any FI turbos because I won’t run them.

I’m not on here to bash FI, just stating facts. They are built out of Chinese parts.

To the OP. One of Weston’s S480’s recently made 1,245hp, fuel only, as a single. He doesn’t build an S485, so I’d probably step up to his S488 for a primary. The 88/96 turbine is plenty of turbine for 1,300 hp, and is a much better turbine than the 102mm turbine.

Ok.... you say so, which clearly must make it true.

Guess all the turbo boosted cars in China must be hauling the mail since some of the fastest street/ strip cars run precision or FI.

Everyone knows I'm not a brand loyalist, it's another thing to try and lie on a highly reputable company.

Just calling it what it is.

Or are you like Weston and just all pissy since Jose won't provide a turbo map?
