Vacuum pump?

What do you guys do with the vacuum pump portion on your fummins swaps when you don't need it? Do you just plug it off?

Mine is on my 01 F-350 & I had just plugged it off with a plastic cap for a while. To me that does not seem like a permanent fix for it.

find somebody on 4bt swaps that wants one and trade it for a ps pump without the vac.

i have heard of some just gutting it and running it to drive the powersteering pumps.

I removed the vanes and welded the nipple shut.

I went to a local BlueBird bus company and bought a pile of used direct mount hydroboost p/s pumps. I couldn't see any reason to try to block it off, plus my original pump was not the hydroboost type anyway.
