weld front end will it be impossible to turn

The drivers side inner axle broke before my cad collar did on 32 spline axles. I ran a welded carrier and cable cad
 
how is the cable cad working for you guys? we debated on it but chose to stick with vaccum because once it spins a bit of the line its been jumping right in. i was afraid it would be hard to get in with the cable and if its not in before you hook up you cant really keep pulling it in.
