the bearing speed on a main that size must be INCREDIBLE at 6000 rpm.

The turbine/generators I work on have 18-19" diameter journals, at 3600 rpm. 17000 SFM. Good oiling systems.

Piston pump? I worked on a Peroni pump last month. Same style crank (a bit bigger than that one by the looks of it, 3k lbs.). 5 pistons, about 90 rpm.
