What did I mess up?

Adjusted timing to 18* per instructions in tech area.
Truck now hard to start has no throttle control and shutdown solenoid does not stop engine. Does not run away just no control. Had top of AFC off, timing plugs and front cover to do KDP. So how did I screw it up? Seemed easy enough.
 
you probably slipped timing. redo the timing. clean the pump shaft really good with brake kleen.
