What's comparible with II phatshaft 62

Is there a different turbo that would be comparable with the II 62 phatshaft? Without the big pricetag?

I have the stock one on my 03
Is the stock a t3 or t4?

t3 is stock ehaxuast housing flange size

you can go with a box stock borg warner, but it will not have a wastegate housing and it will be a t4 flange

Check out D-Tech turbos, they make a 62/65/12 S300 for a good price. A 62/65 isn't gonna cool those 90hp injectors though, if that's what you're shooting for get a 64/71/14 aka super b special.

I thought a Phatshaft 62 was a 62/68 or 62/71/13?

Phatshaft 62 is 62/65/12 or 62/65/14, the Super Phatshaft 62 is 62/71/14. I don't believe II makes a turbo with a 68mm turbine.

Just to clarify

I'm not really towing anything. Just daily driver

No drag racing

So I'm not to concerned with overheating

My seals are starting to leak so I was looking for a better one to replace it

i would stay away from the 62/65/12, very chokey turbo

i would run the 62/71/14

prices are all going to be comparable from htt, industrial etc

only way you can save is getting a box stock borg warner which is around 700, but they have a t4 foot and no wastegate which will need a t3-t4 adapter, then its up to you if you want to run an external wastegate or not

if your not adding anymore fuel it wouldnt change

you may get better mileage if it will be actually using all the fuel with good air

Get the BD super b special, keep in mind you will have a bit more lag.

no, spool is all dependant of wheel sizes and exhause housing A/R

t4 manifold is going to lower drive pressure
