What's with the big ad along the left side?

Logged on today and noticed the big annoying ad. Is that permanent or just something they are trying out.

It's the internet browser, not the site. I think my wife finally got annoyed enough and found out how to get rid of it. I never had the patience to figure it out.

Idk then it was a duramax ad that was all down the side and it made my window smaller. It comes back time from time. I don't think I have a virus but who knows. It only does it on comp d so I thought maybe it was the site.

I use Safari as well. What Safari plugins are you using? One of them might have my third party banner ad code in it.
