Why not just gut the afc and pull the plate for a dyno run? That way theres no concern about getting full rack travel.
Also, turbos don't make HP, they only supply enough air to burn the fuel.
Fuel makes HP.

As long as whoever is driving the truck realizes not to floor it. When I had my AFC gutted, the guy just floored it and a lot of smoke and not much boost until later in the RPM range.
