Will a 6.5L start/run with out a turbo?

My turbo is siezed, can i just unhook it to see if the truck runs?

Sure, just plug the oil feed before you start the engine.

I was just gonna leave that still plugged into the turbo.

yes, pull the turbo off, plug the oil feed, or put it/tie strap it into the return, and fire it up. i've even drove them like that just to make sure the engine is ok.
