Is the mounting braket aslo different in sport models ?
My truck is originally non sport 98, I replaced all bumpers and grill from 97 soprt model.
Now I want to buy/install 99-00 model Sport grill and crate my own front bumper (road-armor style)

The frame is different. You will need to buy that. Also the hood latch release lever is longer on a sport model. You can either buy a new one or modify the one you have by welding a 3/4'' extension in it. On my truck I had to drill a few new holes in the hood for the bolts on the grill which were different locations than the stock one.
