ZF6 swap in a Dodge?

If you say the shift pattern sucks......learn to drive.

They have a learning curve, great once you learn.

ZF-6= Bucket of marbles, throw in a stick, then try to shift.

You can shift them quickly, but the 2nd gear (on the shifter, not actual 2nd gear) sychros go bad.

Who knows if a ZF-6 will hold up though, none of Ford's diesels could put it to the test!

just a couple outputs on the GM versions behind 2.8 class dmax trucks... think both of those happened trying 4HI and things are pretty stout in 4LO.

Correction; they are both 198 lbs with the bellhousing (had the fork on the Getrag).

I have an adapter for sale with the flywheel spacer for a cummins to ford zf6 $550,

I will send you a pm.

If the Destroked adapters are made for Cummins in front of "whatever", why the flip is the starter on the exhaust side?

Is there a way to keep my starter on the left?

The pocket for the starter is cast into the right side of the most of the transmissions they adapt to. Since there is no bellhousing to swap I would guess it would take some serious custom to make work.
